POLARTEC®︎ @polartecfabric の生地を使用した世界中のプロダクトから、革新的でデザイン性の高い12のプロダクトが選ばれる「Polartec®︎ Apex Awards」。

2023年度の「Polartec®︎ Apex Awards」にて、MOUNTAIN MARTIAL ARTS（MMA）の「MMA POLARTEC Power Grid Zip Hoodie2」が受賞しました。

アウトドアフィールドで愛用されるPower Gridを使い、山でも街でも使える普遍性のあるデザインを目指したこのプロダクトが選ばれたのは、MMAの「シームレス」というコンセプトが評価されたのだと思います。

賞とは縁のない人生なので、純粋にうれしいです。

トレイルランニングに出会ってMMAを立ち上げたのが2012年です。その前年に山と道とand WANDERがスタートして、UL系やファッションとアウトドアのクロスオーバー、トレイルランニングと、新しい息吹が芽生え始めた時期なのだと思います。

10年が経ちましたが、まだまだアウトドアブランドでは新参者です。それでもこの10年でアウトドアシーンは少しづつ変わっている気がします。ギアやウェアの選択肢がグローバルブランドだけではなくなり、「着る」「使う」楽しさが広がっていく。

今の日本は世界的に競争力の低下など厳しい時期ですが、クリエイションでは勝負できるということを世界に広げていきたいと思っています。もっと多くの方たちに楽しんでいただけるように。今回の受賞は世界を目指すよい励みになりました。

そのためにはPOLARTEC®︎は不可欠な存在です。今後もPOLARTEC®︎の機能を最大限に活かすプロダクトを提案していきます。ご期待ください。

The Polartec®︎ Apex Awards are given to 12 innovative and well-designed products from around the world that use POLARTEC®︎ fabrics.

MOUNTAIN MARTIAL ARTS’ (MMA) “MMA POLARTEC Power Grid Zip Hoodie2” has won the “Polartec®︎ Apex Awards” for 2023.

I believe that MMA’s concept of “seamlessness (meaning borderless)” was the reason this product, which uses Power Grid, a favorite in the outdoor field, and aims for a universal design that can be used both in the mountains and in towns, was chosen for the award.

I am genuinely happy because I have never been associated with awards in my life.

It was 2012 when I discovered trail running and launched MMA. The year before that, Yama to Michi to and WANDER was launched, and it was the time when a new breath of life began to sprout with the UL system, the crossover between fashion and the outdoors, and trail running.

Ten years have passed, but we are still newcomers to the outdoor brands. Still, the outdoor scene has changed slightly over the past ten years. The choice of gear and clothing is no longer limited to global brands, and the enjoyment of “wearing” and “using” them is expanding.

Japan is currently going through a tough time with declining global competitiveness, but I would like to spread the fact that we can compete in creation to the rest of the world. We hope that more people will enjoy our products. This award is a good encouragement for me to aim for the global market.

POLARTEC®︎ is indispensable for that. We will continue to propose products that make the most of the functions of POLARTEC®︎. Please look forward to it.
